Role Summary

The first of its kind at Manor, this role exists for a self-motivated storyteller. Someone who is equal parts analysis and creativity. Someone who lives and breathes the brand. You despise clichés, you abhor the ‘standard’ and you’re always championing a better way. You’ll have a passion for content creation, pushing for interesting stories inside and outside of the track. You see beyond the fast cars and lifestyle and you hunt out original and never-before-seen sides of the sport. You’re passionate about giving our followers something new, something surprising, something unique to Manor Racing. You get more of a kick out of a great piece of marketing vs seeing a good overtake on track.

A master of social media community management, you’ll have a strong knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Google+ and you’ll know how to use their native features to push your content and create engaging conversations. By continually monitoring and reporting your performance, you’ll use data and analysis to inform new programmes and initiatives. You’re passionate, hungry and ready to go for the gap.

Key Responsibilities will include:

CONTENT

  • Management and ownership of the team website
  • Working with editors, admins, copywriters and designers to ensure a consistent approach across all digital channels
  • Create, monitor and optimise all content to ensure a steady stream of traffic to the site
  • Own the distribution of all paid, owned and earned content
  • Working with the PR and Communications Director you’ll devise, own and implement the content strategy across all digital channels

SOCIAL MEDIA

  • Day-to day management of all social properties; including posting content, replying to followers; finding outreach gaps and starting conversations
  • Brand ambassador: you’ll ensure brand messages, imagery and tone of voice are delivered correctly
  • Development of influencer and ambassador strategies; building effective relationships with bloggers and brand ambassadors

OTHER

  • Reporting across digital channels - particularly on race weekends; the highs, the lows - where are the gaps?
  • Managing all internal communications
  • Manage team thought leadership publications  
  • Managing the team’s content assets (imagery, footage etc)
  • Reporting and evaluating all content and community management activities

Target Profile

  • Educated to a degree level
  • 4-5 years working in an agency or in house environment in a similar role/s
  • A proven track record of social media community management and content-led campaigns; a sound understanding of all platforms, their quirks, their limitations, their gaps
  • A proven understanding of content distribution across all owned, earned and paid channels
  • Previous experience with a CMS (preferably Drupal)
  • Experience working on influencer strategies and outreach campaigns
  • Knowledge of analysis tools (Google Analytics, social media reporting systems, social listening tools)
  • A strong understanding of online marketing, content and social media best practices
  • Experience in writing short form copy for campaigns, content and social media posts
  • Experience with PPC and SEO
  • Video editing experience
  • Photoshop skills
