We are ready for the festive season back at the Manor Racing base. Luca Furbatto, Chief Designer, will show you his top ten #ManorPlaylist Christmas edition. Tune in and take note of what beats he is listening to and what makes him swing.

1. When did you set up and decorate your Christmas tree?

I have not!  The kids and wife are in charge of the Christmas decorations.

We are a fairly traditional Catholic family and the kids are “building” the Presepe (Nativity scene with various figures). Little baby Jesus appears by “magic” in the manger on the late evening of Christmas Eve or in the early hours of the 25th Dec.

Every decoration will have to go by the evening of the 6th January which celebrates the arrival of the three Kings.

2. Do you go all-in with festive Christmas music and decoration?

I would say yes. We have the “usual suspects” Christmas CDs around at present so that everyone is quickly in a festive mood! By the time it is early January I cannot wait to put them away for another 11 months ….

3. What kind of songs are on your Christmas Playlist, classics or modern pop?

I like pure sounds well executed. Hard rock or heavy metal are not for me whilst classical music is more my thing.

Pop or rock music entwined with some classical music elements is something that I enjoy very much.

4. If you can choose, where would you like to spend Christmas?

At home, with the family. This year we are going to Italy to see my parents, friends and other family members. It is time to catch up with them (sometimes it is the only time in the year to do so), to see new arrivals in the family and to talk about those who unfortunately are no longer with us.

I never actually had a beach holiday at Christmas or have gone anywhere warm. For me Christmas time is somewhat cold, snowy and stress-free time off.

5. What is on your wish list for Santa this year?

To be honest with you I have not got one!

On a personal level I am already privileged to have all I really need. I am not talking about luxury things - I am referring to essential items, etc.

Said so, if you have a better connection to Santa than I do, I could do with a Microsoft Surface Pro, a bottle of Daffy’s Gin and a beautiful watch from Rebellion !

Professionally and for the Team we could do with Santa bringing a bag with pure downforce for next year’s car!! Wouldn’t that be great? …. Here we go, 3 sec/lap from Lapland!

6,. What are your top 10 most favourite Christmas songs of all times?

I compiled a list of 10 songs imagining myself relaxing with my family after a large Christmas meal. I am sure it is not going to be liked by all but I hope you enjoy some songs. The last song is a reminder that the 2017 season is just around the corner ….
